Re: Kde 4.3.4: we are working on it for Mandriva 2009.1 & 2010.0

I can confirm this bug :( mdv2010/32bit In 2009.1 i686 no such bug: http://i058.radikal.ru/0912/ea/4ce0d78a9540t.jpg You are right... there's no bug because there's no KDE PulseAudio integration :D . In 2010.0 the expected behaviour is: KDE must report only the devices GIVEN BY PULSEAUDIO. This is ...

Re: Kde 4.3.4: we are working on it for Mandriva 2009.1 & 2010.0

Thank you, MIB team, for giving me the chance to test this. Now I report, that this backport really works. Glitches are confined to Mandriva-specific patches, the rest works. The most experimental Nepomuk enhancements don''t work, but, to be fair, they are too much experimental. Task Switcher, nepom...

Re: Kde 4.3.4: we are working on it for Mandriva 2009.1 & 2010.0

I haven't mentioned it, but I wanted Smooth Tasks because it makes easier to switch tasks... with my finger. Just see this! http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/7931/instantnea3.th.png My taskbar is now 1 thumb wide, with beautiful screen indicators and that lovely glow effect borrowed from Windows 7....

Re: Kde 4.3.4: we are working on it for Mandriva 2009.1 & 2010.0

I've received a private testing build, and this backport delivers. It is faster than Mandriva KDE 4.3.2. It feels faster, mainly because of some KWin fixes in 4.3.3 that weren't backported. It has the infamous Twitter bug (fixed upstream in KDE 4.3.3) fixed. Nepomuk autosuspension works better (it d...

Re: Kde 4.3.4: we are working on it for Mandriva 2009.1 & 2010.0

Good to know it... but... will it build with Qt 4.5.3? ;)

(always use the latest point release :))

Nevertheless, you're still awesome in my book. Keep up the good work; a Qt 4.5 backport should be definitely easier and faster to release.

Re: Request KDE 4.4 Beta 1

I seriously suggest that, if you want KDE 4.4 beta 1, you make the full switch to Cooker instead of relying in a third party repository like MIB. It's still buggy, and the Nepomuk search still doesn't work (Virtuoso growing pains). You can help reporting bugs there, both upstream bugs and Mandriva b...

Re: Kde 4.3.4: we are working on it for Mandriva 2009.1 & 2010.0

This is A-W-E-S-O-M-E, guys. You are the best. Please, add to the list a KDEnlive 0.7.7 SVN snapshot. You'll need it to avoid some showstoppers with Qt 4.6. If you can, also test the Mandriva custom Nepomuk patches, and see how they fare with Qt 4.6. You may find some problems there, but we are tal...

Re: Smooth Tasks

Sorry. I must have been more clear.

The name for this package in 2010.0 and in Cooker is plasma-applet-smooth-tasks.

Smooth Tasks

After two difficult requests, here goes an easy one. It's not that easy, because there's no proper release (this is a WIP, so, it's a moving target), but there is a working SRPM in Cooker, and the thing compiles in my system for KDE 4.3, so, there won't be any problem. Software: Smooth Tasks. It's t...

Re: Request KDE 4.3.4

I fear if we start a port for Kde 4.3.4, after a few days mdv would port too, and this is a very well known story for me, I don't wish waste one week or two for nothing..., perhaps the only good thing could be that our efforts would push or force mandriva to port too... but in the end, I can only g...

Re: Request KDE 4.3.4

This is sad. I looked at the Mandriva changelog and saw that the maintainers were going to the route of cherry-picking bugfixes and backporting them at will into KDE 4.3.2. That says me that there won't be any major or minor update to KDE until 2010.1. There is a bug in KDE microblogging plasmoid (n...

Re: Package request: Qt 4.6

1. No. I wasn't working with a KDE rebuild. On Kubuntu, I installed stock KDE 4.3.1 and enabled a PPA (user repository) that gave me Qt 4.6 Technical Preview 1. Later, it got updated to Qt 4.6 beta 1, but by then I was switching to Adélie. No recompilation needed. 2. AFAIK, KDE 4.3 was heavily teste...

Package request: Qt 4.6

Dears, I'm going to do the most difficult package backport request ever, here, on Mandriva Italia. Before you begin to ask me "why don't you simply use Cooker", I can tell you that I tested KDE 4.3 with Qt 4.6 Technical Preview 1 in Kubuntu, before doing the switch to Mandriva. The results were awes...
