Re: updates: Invalid signature (NOT OK(could not read file))

Well, I chose "No", do not continue with the updates but it appears those files got installed, anyway. $ rpm -qa --last | grep kdeartwork kdeartwork4-emoticons-4.12.3-1-rosa2012.1.noarch Tue 18 Mar 2014 06:37:23 AM PDT .. kdeartwork4-icons-theme-nuvola-4.12.3-1-rosa2012.1.noarch Tue 18 Mar 2014 06:3...

updates: Invalid signature (NOT OK(could not read file))

Big update, today, for systemd, udev, and KDE, hundreds of rpms. At the end, there are two rpm reported as "Invalid signature (NOT OK(could not read file))" with the option to continue updates or not: kdeartwork4-emoticons-4.12.3-1-rosa2012.1.noarch.rpm kdeartwork4-icons-theme-nuvola-4.12.3-1-rosa20...

Re: hdlist out-of-date at mib.pianetalinux.org?

Ok. As it is, all updates were installed, just in two transactions. It seems once jackit got updated, the conflict disappeared. I am thinking something like the manual describes, --split-level number Split urpmi's operation in small transactions when the total number of packages to upgrade is greate...

Re: hdlist out-of-date at mib.pianetalinux.org?

Yes, after urpmi.update and urpmi --auto-select, there were 59 updates from mib. 10 of those installed but there was some conflict between the old jackit and lib64jack0 Installation failed: file /usr/lib64/jack/audioadapter.so from install of lib64jack0-1.9.9.5-69.2.x86_64 conflicts with file from p...

hdlist out-of-date at mib.pianetalinux.org?

Hi,
I went to install grissino's new vlc etc. and added the repo at pianetalinux.org but hdlists seem to be from 10 Jan?

Re: Kernel 3.12.12 for ROSA 2012 2012.1 OMV 2013 2014 cooker

OMV 2013 has the / partition, including /home, on an older Western Digital SATA hdd, WDC WD1001FALS-00J7B0, using udma6, according to hdparm. First, with a slightly older kernel: [root@localhost rolf]# systemd-analyze Startup finished in 4.913s (kernel) + 31.083s (userspace) = 35.997s [root@localhos...

Re: BFQv7, the new major release of I/O disk scheduler is he

.. JeanClaud, your impressions are right! Hi, bad news: we just found a bug in BFQ-v7, which, according to our experiments, causes a little loss of throughput on SSDs (about ten percent with the heaviest workloads). Good news: we already fixed it, and are revising and testing the BUGFIX-patch. Sorr...

hostname changed

ROSA Desktop Fresh R2 release 2012.1 for x86_64 There was a big 4.11.4 kde update this a.m. This evening, I booted up for the first time since and auto-login didn't happen, however it was still configured in kde control center. In konsole, my prompt changed from rolf@localhost to rolf@rolf-da49914cf...

Re: criteria to choose rosa or openmandriva ?

HI, I've got an installation of Mandriva 2011 where PS3 Media Server nicely transcodes and plays dvd isos for me on the ps3. Neither Rosa nor Mageia nor anything else I try can do it. I think it's a matter of java or PMS version or mencoder ("Process mencoder has a return code of 1!" is echoed in th...

Re: fglrx: wrong path to dri.so?

All right. Short story, I did remove the directory path to dri, commented the line to chmod /proc/ati in rc.local, added the 64-bit repository for the new driver, and installed it. After a reboot, there is still the error about dri and I think maybe it isn't related to the problem of slow rendering....

Kwin window manager event sounds removed!

There was a big upgrade to KDE 4.11.2 and, not long after, I noticed my beloved window changes sound effects were gone. Especially the desktop change notifications, maximize, minimize, and close windows sounds that I always configure. In systemsettings notifications, I saw the title and sound fields...

Re: fglrx: wrong path to dri.so?

Ok but how to test? I have a working driver with fglrx_dri.so in /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/

Should I remove the added directory path, then urpmi the new driver?

Does the permissions for /proc/ati/ enter into this?

Thanks.
