But , if I may, would be very useful an alias for lib64kwinnvidiahack4
( I don't get any clue how is name it in ix86)
so that could be used no matter the architecture :


maybe libkwinnvidiahack or choose one at will, because would avoid using arch related macros .
Hope in the future %_rel you consider it .

the lib(64)wkinnvidiahack is also available in the « normal » repository (and in fact is not affected by the networkmanager support)

I don't know the importance of this lib, the only reference i found is this http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=89431.
Regarding using a global name for the lib is against mandriva's policy and i'm striclty following it.
But in fact maybe nvidia user should install it by default.

First at all i did not mean to be aggressive, especially when i created an account just to provide and explain to you why i won't apply this change
Regarding your example lib64qt-devel is simply a -devel package not a « pure » lib package here.
From what i understood (i might be wrong) you were asking to add a provides for a library package (ex libknvidia for lib64knvidia) & from what i can see mandriva is not providing this for any package because you should be able to install « both » library eventually for i586 & x86_64 ,for example following the qt library if you're installing skype you'll need the 32bits library for alsa/pulseaudio.
If the 64bits provides the « lib », urpmi will probably won't be able to install *both* because they're were going to conflict .
Maybe there's some lib packages providing this functionnality but i never noticed them & i'll be please to review my argumentation if you can give me an example.

New releases of packages containing latest patches from kde.org have been rebuilt and are available (you can read the changelog in the updated KDE rpms)
Important update for bluedevil to final version, so v1.0 for bluedevil & v1.8.1 for libbluedevil..

qt4-common is not a lib package :/
there's indeed files stored in /usr/lib/qt4, but there's no libs as libraries like a lib.so.3.1.0 etc etc
that's what i mean by libs, i should probably have been more precise before , my fault.

This one is indeed a good example : there's 3 files which seems to be librairies ( libmozgnome.so, libimgicon.so,libnkgnomevfs.so) .
But as you said let's end here, & i guess anyone can simply rebuild thoses packages with your suggestion since the SRPMS are available

Il conflitto è già conosciuto, si sta provvedendo a rilasciare una versione compatibile con il KDE 4.5.3,

il problema è che poi questa versione per KDE 4.5.3 poi non funziona a tutti gli altri che hanno ancora il KDE 4.4.3, credo occorreranno due diverse versioni, se non si trova altra soluzione.

dopo l'aggiornamento del 14/11, ora non riesco più a far partire la macchina virtuale.
arriva alla schermata di login poi quando si tratta di inizializzare il sistema (per intenderci dove le icone compaiono in splash) e quindi diventa tutto buio
sospetto un problema con kde nuovo
prima di riprendere da zero, avreste mica qualche idea su come risolvere il problema?

Prova a fare login da tty e riporta l'errore ( un screenshot casomai)

come dice ominomichelin, è importante sapere se è un upgrade da 4.4.4 a 4.5.3:
in questo caso, molto spesso è proprio indispensabile cancellare la precedente cartella utente di configurazione del KDE (.kde4 ed il file .config/Trolltech.conf), può essere utile provare a partire con l'utente xguest, se con questo utente funzionasse, allora significherebbe che non una nuova configurazione anche sul tuo utente funzionerebbe il kde, e questa sarebbe la conferma che il problema risiederebbe in qualche file della precedente configurazione

Mi spiace davvero non poterti aiutare, ma altri non hanno riscontrato il tuo problema che sembra circoscritto alla tua installazione, e non credo dipenda dagli ultimi aggiornamenti sul KDE 4.5.3, i quali contengono solo le ultime patch con fix ufficiali da kde.org

Quindi, gli ultimi aggiornamenti, dovrebbero apportare solo portare maggiore stabilità e minori problemi in molte aree di utilizzo, come sembra essere confermato un po' da tutti.

Verificato finalmente il problema perchè mi è capitato di subirlo personalmente, poi anche rugyada ha avuto lo stesso problema, per fortuna avevo anche già trovato da me la soluzione (non c'è su Internet!)

il problema l'ho verificato su KDE 4.5.4 ma c'era anche su KDE 4.5.3:
dipende da una configurazione di KDE che presume che tutti i PC abbiano un OpenGL attivo e valido...

e quindi con schede come la Gpu SIS integrata, il driver Nuveau per Nvidia, il driver comune VESA:
con queste ho testato e sono sicuro che se non is esegue la soluzione si ha una schermata scura, si intravede il cursore che si muove per il video, si intravedono dei box molto scuri, ma non si riesce a far nulla
