It takes about a week to build complete KDE even for one release/arch (for example, 2009.1 i686) on our machines. So we didn't even port 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 due to lack of resources. For KDE 4.4, maybe we'll port 4.4.1 when it's out, but not 4.4 beta.

maybe use the opensuse build service to build the packages? You can build mdv 2006 up untill 2010.0 packages for all sort of arches even some very exotic ones...

I seriously suggest that, if you want KDE 4.4 beta 1, you make the full switch to Cooker instead of relying in a third party repository like MIB. It's still buggy, and the Nepomuk search still doesn't work (Virtuoso growing pains). You can help reporting bugs there, both upstream bugs and Mandriva bugs.

IMHO, it's better to wait for at least 4.4.1.

Hi,

KDE 4.4.3 is out 11 days, but no RPMs at kde.org, so I would to ask, if you planning porting KDE 4.4.3 ?

I was try make my own KDE 4.4.3 from SRPMs from Cooker, but no lucky - I cant rebuild kdelibs :(

Thx for answer.
James

EDIT: I need kdelibs4.4.3 RPM at least, rest of work I will try do alone in worst case...

Hi James,

I was working to port kde 4.4.2 on Mandriva 2009.1 with big difficulties but I arrived quite to 80% of porting.

Now after a period of hollidays I'll try with the new version of kde.

When we'll have on both Mandriva 2010.0 and 2009.1 kde 4.4.x then we'll consider this version like supported version for MIB.

Regards
