I have just stumbled upon MIB and it does look as though you have been putting in a lot of interesting work, but there does seem to be one problem.
All of the updates are listed at http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2010.0/32/basic/ and /expert/, but installing the Easy urpmi link throws up numerous error in the package list.
Does something need to be updated?
Andrew

Re: Easy urpmi
Please, write here the error messages you see, the distribution number (2009.1 or 2010.0) and the arch (32 or 64).
Everything is fine on my PC, so I do not expect any annoyance on your too.

Here the right Guide to configure the repositories in the best way
http://mib.pianetalinux.org/mib/forum/v ... =21&t=1554
Only with a proper repositories config you have no problems at all, with al lpackages and its dependencies
You must execute in root mode the strings text, select all, copy, and then pasting all in a konsole/terminal as root
bye,
NicCo

Re: Easy urpmi
Thanks for the quick responses.
I am using 32bit versions of Mandriva 2010.0
I installed the media with EasyURPMI as per the MIB menu option.
The errors that I get are along the lines of "{package name} not found, you may want to update your URPMI database"
NicCo: I will re-install using your links and see if that is better.
All the best

Re: Easy urpmi
For the basic set, if I install using your Easy URPMI link the update media is listed as
http://urpmi.mandriva.ru/lists/ru/mib.2010.0.i586.list which contains:
continent=EU,zone=IT,country=Italy,city=Rome,latitude=55.75,longitude=37.62,version=2010.0,arch=i586,type=distrib,url=http://mib.pianetalinux.org/2010.0/cfg/i586 which in turn refers http://mib.pianetalinux.org/2010.0/32/basic
whereas if I install using NicCo's link it is simply:
http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2010.0/32/basic
The two folders appear to be identical (in fact they are probable the same folder) as are the hdlist.cz files.
NicCo's settings seem to work correctly so I am OK now, but I cannot see why the Easy URPMI settings did not work.
All the best

We noticed a lot of problems with easyurpmi.zarb.org, expecially with the skipping of 2010.0,fdservices wrote: NicCo's settings seem to work correctly so I am OK now, but I cannot see why the Easy URPMI settings did not work.

when sometimes the selected mirror for italy, in our case, were bad or not completelly working,
so pretty tired about that I decided to write some simply konsole scripts to avoid those problems...
When started using http://urpmi.mandriva.ru/
the things were much better and we discovered that the russian mirror is very efficient, the best I tried,
no problems with corrupted files, firms, and very very speed during all hours of the day and night,
it remained only one problem, explaining to users which mirrors to enable for MIB backports, I mean the backports folders (main/backports, contrib/bp, ecc...),
many users seemed to have problems to understand, so at last I prepared those scripts with all configuration ready,
starting form zero, at the begin all the previous configs are deleted, and nothing else to do after you execute those!
Bye,
NicCo
