glxinfo: xcb_io.c:445: _XReply: Assertion `!dpy->xcb->reply_data' failed
does this with a lot of items as well. and under glxinfo I get
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
OpenGL version string: 3.2.9756 Compatibility Profile Context
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.50
what is the compat profile context and is there a fix?

Re: opengl errors when trying to start an gl apps
I managed to solve it had to remove all instances of the fglrx driver then re install the latest version and it corrected the issue.
