dkms-madwifi build fails - 2.6.35.4-desktop-69mib

Mandriva 2010.1 32 bit using MIB kernel 2.6.35.4-desktop-69mib

madwifi fails to build with the following error:

Bad exit status 10
Build failed

[germ@localhost ~]$ rpm -qa | grep madwifi
madwifi-0.9.4-69.r4119mib2010.0
dkms-madwifi-0.9.4-69.r4119mib2010.0

I also lost sound with 2.6.35.4-desktop-69mib. everything is configured correctly.

I could port for you a newer version compatible with 2.6.35.xx kernel

for sound problem,
instead it should be a rare alsa regression and I can't do nothing for it, so I can suggest to continue use previous kernel with working audio: without audio it's useless to go on using this 2.6.35.4...

The sound problem fixed itself after a reboot. I'm not sure what the problem was on the first boot.

If you can port a newer version of dkms-madwifi I would really appreciate it.

I checked just now, but in cooker there is no new version

the version it's the same already available (date: 23/02/2010)


Perhaps we could try a source from 0.9.4 branch
