Re: The latest Firefox update causes RPMdrake to crash
Hi gvedder,
sorry but "rm -rf /" don't help us to undestand where is the problem.
The strange thing I see is only spanish language user and arch i586 have this problem.
Maybe it's a problem of other not official repository but when you delete all files we can't know.
Regards

Re: The latest Firefox update causes RPMdrake to crash
funny thing I have to say: actually I post in this topic, because "the error message" was the same for me, but I never get the firefox upgrade. before erase/reinstall check the /var/urpmi/rpms, I can see there firefox ,liblxrunner the new kernel, my nvidia driver/module and many others things that wasn't installed.
sorry I can 't give you guys more info; as I say these are "production" pcs and I need them.
regards.

Re: SOLVED
I reinstalled the OS mandriva 2010.0 Gnome 32bit and installed all the updates from the official repo's and PLF.
Then I added the MIB repo's from:
http://urpmi.mandriva.ru/
I ran urpmi --auto-update -a and every thing updated fine and all MIB files installed and all work good.
Firefox, Thunderbird, Rpm and Urpmi all work good.
I'm not sure what the problem was but it appears to have been something I must of did wrong in the update process.
Thanks for all your help

Now it's solved,
it seems the problem was caused by an rpm from mandriva

Well, I have now solved my problem with help from 'business_kid' on the Linux Questions forum:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... es-832534/
lib64nss3-3.12.7-0.1mdv2010.1.rpm was the cause of the problem.
I was able to use an OS on another partition, but a live CD should do the same.
