Digikam 1.6 crash at startup

Hi there...

i have mandriva 2010.1 with kde 4.5.3 from your repositories...

now i have updates digikam to 1.6 and now it crash at startup...

i have been trying to resolve this problem and saw in multiple sites saying that the problem could be in packaging...

how can i resolve this problem at startup?

Digikam 1.6, in all those PC i tried, it's working very nice:
Surely something inside the config folder or photo database is not compatible with previous version

You can try to rename or delete previous config files/folders from your /home/user

the files to delete or rename, are:

one folder:

/home/user/.kde4/share/apps/digikam

one file:
==================================
/home/user/.kde4/share/config/digikamrc

two files are in the folder you choosed as photo container, i.e:
files to delete or rename
==================================
/home/user/Images/digikam4.db
/home/user/Images/thumbnails-digikam.db

P.S.: Be sure the Digikam 1.6 is the one coming from the KDE 4.5.3 repo (this one built with qt 4.7 & kde 4.5.3) and not the one now present also in mdv backport (built with old kde 4.4.3)

Hi there,

it is working well now...

i installed digikam from drak and it installed version 1.5

and then it said that there were an update to digikam 1.6 that i confirmed...

strange that when i search for digikam in drak it only returns 1.5 version...

thanks for the help...

mandriva 2010.1 working well as expected...
