I would like to make a request to have these src rpms from the website created to assist with using the ftdi chipset under linux.

trying to program an eeprom chip and finding through trial and error that these are needed.

modules working great was able to communicate with the picaxe usb adapter in turn was able to program the picaxe microcontroller.
