I tried this morning what you say: In 32 & 64 bit environment, I have that tape
It's a your own problem, perhaps your vlc config folder is samewhat damaged, delete or rename it

It's here

Code: Select all

/$HOME/.config/vlc

P.S. Apropos of VLC 1.1.9 - I tried using the plf VLC for two days, before I installed the mib version, and in my own PC after a while of playing video, the PC became unresponsive untill it freezed and I had to reset. This happened more times, i thought my PC had something wrong, but it happened only with plf VLC 1.1.9

bye,

In my tested PCs arch is 64bit, while I see that your arch is 32, so it could be the problem exists only in 32bit

in 64bit I have not the problem, so I think that the 64bit mib vlc 1.1.9 is pretty good

now:
we need that someone test the 32bit mib vlc 1.1.9 confirming or not the problem you suffered in 32bit version

OK ...... NicCo

i discovered the problem here

and what is going on

=========================

before i have install 1.1.9-version on mandriva

i had the last version 1.1.8 from MIB repo

and it works fine without any problem

=========================

FOR YOUR INFO

i have two environments on mandriva

the first one is (( KDE ))

the second one is (( E17 ))

=========================

lets return to our main subject

i always use E17 more than KDE since two weeks ago

and i haven't any problems when i run any videos by VLC-1.1.8 from any one of those environment

but after installing the last version i discovered the problem

that problem will not happen in KDE environment

but

it will happen if i use VLC-1.1.9 from E17

======================

FOR YOUR INFO

task-e17 package is from MIB repo

======================

so is there any suggestions to help me here
