Hi everyone,
i got a little problem with Virtualbox 4.0.4. It won't start.
System is a Mandriva 64 Bit (Gnome)
uname -a

Great great great kernel! Love it! By the way, thank you
If i try to run Virtualbox through a Terminal:
Virtualbox
VirtualBox: supR3HardenedMainGetTrustedMain: dlopen("/usr/lib64/virtualbox/VirtualBox.so",) failed: /usr/lib64/virtualbox/VirtualBox.so: undefined symbol: _ZN15QSplitterHandle11resizeEventEP12QResizeEvent
Please, let me know, if you need more information
Cheers Rossi

Re: Problem with Virtualbox 4.0.4
Mandriva 2009.1 / 64bit ???
I read this from your registration. You forgot to update it?
We suggest to use a signature with your complete hw/soft config,
give a look here:
http://mib.pianetalinux.org/mib/forum/v ... 682#p15682
http://mib.pianetalinux.org/mib/forum/v ... 745#p15745
Perhaps I understood the problem, from that line
If you have an osolete KDE version, and not newer KDE 4.5.5, the reason could tbe there
VirualBox 4.0.4 in MIB has been built
with MIB KDE 4.5.5 SC in 2010.2 > http://mib.pianetalinux.org/mib/forum/v ... f=2&t=2554
with MIB KDE 4.3.5 SC in 2009.1 > http://mib.pianetalinux.org/mib/forum/v ... f=2&t=1757
and it does not works with obsoleted KDE versions

Re: Problem with Virtualbox 4.0.4
No KDE as DE it does not means you dont need or use some kde related libs, qt, and others
when you use some program like skype, kaffeine, k3b, 2ManDVD, you have some KDE parts
and also Virtualbox need kde parts,
normally these KDE things, are in /main/release and main/updates
but in our case, we could find updated stuff only in MIB kde 4.5.5 repos,
so you could configure and enable those repos to have only a few rpms
MIB KDE 4.5.5 SC in 2010.2 > http://mib.pianetalinux.org/mib/forum/v ... f=2&t=2554
Rembember that KDE 4.5.5 libs, qt, ecc, are full backward compatible, so no problem occurs...
