touchpad driver + kernel-desktop-2.6.36-4 MIB I686

Post by sameeer_45 »

hello developers

i am tired because this problem driving me crazy

some times (( since i installed that kernel )) when i start mandriva and enter to mandriva GUI my computer touchpad doesn't become fully supported by the driver

you see we always know that touchpad can do two jobs and some times three jobs

my computer's touchpad can do two jobs the first one is moving the mouse

the second one is scrolling pages

some times when i start my computer i got that problem i mean

(( doesn't become fully supported by the driver ))

at that time you can just move the mouse but you cant use scrolling job

and if you move the mouse to up/down direction you can move it very smoothly

but if you try move it to right/ left direction you got to do hard work to do something like that

If the driver in 2.6.36.4 is not good for your hardware is not our fault or in our domain
For that problem the responsible is the Kernel Team, and they could fix only if a new version 2.6.36.5...

But i fear that 2.6.36.4 could be the last in that series, it should be not more updated

MIB, we are only a global user community that try helping others when possible

In next days, instead, I'll hope to port kernel 2.6.38.4 or 2.6.38.5 on Mandriva 2010.2:
I'm using 2.6.38 kernel since 2.6.38.1 and for me, it works good for all my hardware.
Naturally I'll port too new proprietary drivers for nvidia and ati, building with 2.6.38.x

Easter Holiday Time
bye, NicCo

If your touchpad still workd, but i going bonkers, try using omit XFree86-DGA in you xorg.conf. That module can create problems.

when i got that problem all what i need to do is restart the computer and it will vanish

but i want to ask

i only get that problem at some of MIB's kernels and some of MDV's too

but it seems i didn't have that problem at MNB's kernels . will maybe a little times

******************
