on Mandriva Linux release 2010.2 (Official) for x86_64 and frequently export .odt to pdf, to communicate with clients. Lately, I've run into an error when opening such a pdf with acroread, "unable to open embedded font..." and, although it displays, here, clients can't open it. I see reports of similar, including some evidence this is solved in libreoffice-3.4.0:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35431

Would it be a good project for MIB?
Thanks,
Rolf

p.s. I installed the 3.4 rc2 rpms from libreoffice.org and the pdf export of my latest odt proposal did not have this problem.

Read, please:
http://www.e-linux.it/news_detail/libre ... r-download
"Large enterprises deploying LibreOffice on desktop PCs, are still recommended to deploy LibreOffice 3.3.3, which has been tested over several months by thousands of people worldwide, and are encouraged to call on professional support services. LibreOffice 3.4.2, available at the end of July, will target enterprise deployments." - says Italo Vignoli in the press release.

Because the needs of enterprises and conservative users differ, The Document Foundation decided to provide two stable versions of the LibreOffice software. Therefore, LibreOffice 3.3.x will be a well tested release, available for enterprise users, and LibreOffice 3.4.x will be a version recommended to be deployed in home work environments.
Also there. As a 'home work environments' user, I would think the 3.4.x recommendation would be correct, especially since it solves the bug I reported. Not to worry, your time is limited, the enterprise release, perhaps, will trigger the MIB build, and there are, at least, two sources of 3.4.x rpms online, one of which seems to be working for me wrt this troublesome, for me, bug.

Thanks for your work!
