MPlayer doesn't work. Solved.

I very much appreciate the work NicCo and others are doing here. Currently I'm enjoying setting up Mandriva/MIB 2010.2/3 x86_64 with update packages. Found one with a problem though:

$ mplayer
mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libvpx.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I think this happened in Cooker a while back too.

Overall though I'm pleased with my new/old operating system with KDE 4.8.4. Kool.

Is still present for you the problem with mplayer?

No. mplayer is working now. I needed to enable main and contrib backports repos to install lib64vpx1 and lib64ass4.
