my conf :
- mandriva 2010.2 updated with mib sources
- kde 4.4.3 updated to 4.5.5 with mib kde 4.5.5 sources

install bluedevil from mib kde 4.5.5 sources
restart your pc
if your bluetooth adapter is detected then a bluedevil systray icon appears in kde environment
click on it
a menu appears
then
use "configure adapters"
give a name to your adapter (be simple to avoid problem, no special symbols, only low case)
set it to "power" and to "always visible"
then
activate bluetooth connection with your smartphone for example
then
in bluedevil use "device management" to pair your smartphone and your pc (=your bluetooth device adapter)

when you are pairing your smartphone and your pc and the pc initializes the process :
- first you have a window on your pc requiring a pc key (temporary key) give for example 1234
- second you have a window on your smartphone requiring the pc key then answer 1234

when you have finished, for security purpose set your pc and smartphone bluetooth connection to "hidden"

if you don't use your pc bluetooth connection you can unset "powered" to unactivate the bluetooth adapter.

to copy files between your pc and smartphone
in bluedevil use "bluetooth name of you smartphone" menu item > "explore device"
this launches dolphin, dolphin gives access to your smartphone file tree
