E fammi sapere.

First your work and everyone's here is much appreciated. I just registered with this forum today and have previous only used MIB-Ossigeno packages which i like.
Ok. I've got kernel installed and it boots with vesa but not nvidia. Could that also be related to changes in naming, spec files, or other? I did try 'urpme dkms' and then XFdrake but that didn't work for kernel 3.0. Am i missing something?
I did a fresh install of 2011 x86_64 RC2 yesterday after posting the above. Today the MIB kernel 3.0 repository works. Installed 'kernel-nrj-desktop-3.0.0-nrj.69mib-1-1-mib2011.0.x86_64' and 'kernel-nrj-desktop-devel-3.0.0-nrj.69mib-1-1-mib2011.0.x86_64' from that repo without any problem. Rebooted and nvidia-current kernel module built as it should for any new kernel. Result:
Code: Select all

What is your philosophy on Reiser4? I've used reiserfs for about 10 years, convinced that it is a very robust journaling filesystem surviving many crashes and power outages w/o damage, afaict.
I am less concerned about performance and not so much an authority but there are some benchmarks and claims by those more expert that it is a good filesystem with significant performance benefits, excepting, possibly, database operations, e.g.

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=a ... arks&num=2
Could you patch 3.x.x for reiser4, prego?

A me col 3.0 funziona benissimo e anche meglio.

NicCo there is a kernel-linus 3.0 in 2011 in contrib repo and would guess that when vacations in Europe get sorted there will be other versions. AFAIK 2011 package versions are frozen. I'm not seeing any resistance to 3.0 being offered as an update after release. This *may* be [and I do not speak for Mandriva or Rosa Labs just for myself] an issue of timing and not enough people at this time.
