Ciao ciao.

Thanks a lot,sir NicCo...finally I removed all kernels and installed just 3.0.7-kernel-desktop-69mib
I'll keep an eye on it to see any difference.
Ciao :)
I did not understand, if you have still kernel-nrj-desktop, or if you removed nrj 3.0.7 (it's a NOT suggested operation)

kernel-nrj-desktop is better suited for multimedia PCs, because it has less latency times and more responsviness
You can use the coomand "uname -a" with kernel nrj you can read the word "PREEMPT": it means PREEMPT enabled

Only if kernel-nrj-desktop with its complete PREEMPT and RCU enabled mode work badly in some rare hardware of PCs,
but only in those cases, we suggest to install and use a simply kernel-desktop and remove the kernel-nrj-desktop

Ho appena istallato kernel-nrj-desktop-3.0.7-nrj.69mib (32bit). Poi, ho disinstallato i pacchetti "latest".

Grazie,

Scrivo, leggo MIB :), MandrivaUsers, guardo i dvd, ecc.

[root@localhost ~]# urpmi --auto-select --auto
Packages are up to date
[root@localhost ~]# urpmi --auto -a kernel-nrj-desktop-devel-3.0.7
Package kernel-nrj-desktop-devel-3.0.7-nrj.69mib-1-1-mib2011.0.i686 is already installed
[root@localhost ~]# urpmi --auto -a kernel-nrj-desktop-3.0.7
Package kernel-nrj-desktop-3.0.7-nrj.69mib-1-1-mib2011.0.i686 is already installed
[root@localhost ~]# uname -r
3.0.4-desktop-nrj.69mib
L'ho provato due volte. Hai un'idea come posso risolvere il problema?

Grazie,
Kieth

You understand well,I removed all kinds of kernels and installed only kernel-desktop 3.0.7,not "nrj".
On future I'll be more carefully.

Hmmm, I was wrong: fglrx drivers were NOT installed and there's no way to install them.
Has anybody installed this kernel with the fglrx drivers? It's just to understand if this is or not a general problem.

I am using:

Linux 3.0.7-desktop-nrjpae.69mib #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Oct 21 22:18:24 CEST 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

The kernel recognized my sound card, wireless, 6GB memory, etc ...
The kernel is very responsive!
I test a few days and will post on its stability and crashes!

Only the auto-mute did not work when spit my head-phone.

Code: Select all

[root@localhost ~]# sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09.run

Code: Select all

[root@localhost kernel]# make install
NVIDIA: calling KBUILD...
make -C /lib/modules/3.0.7-0.rt20.69mib/build \
        KBUILD_SRC=/usr/src/kernel-rt-devel-3.0.7-0.rt20.69mib \
        KBUILD_EXTMOD="/home/mario/Scaricati/nvidia/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09/kernel" -f /usr/src/kernel-rt-devel-3.0.7-0.rt20.69mib/Makefile \
        modules
test -e include/generated/autoconf.h -a -e include/config/auto.conf || (                \
        echo; \
echo " ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid."; \
        echo " include/generated/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are missing.";\
echo " Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it."; \
        echo; \
        /bin/false)
poi va avanti ma........
alla fine:

Code: Select all

FATAL: modpost: GPL-incompatible module nvidia.ko uses GPL-only symbol 'migrate_enable'
make[4]: *** [__modpost] Error 1
make[3]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[2]: *** [sub-make] Error 2
NVIDIA: left KBUILD.
nvidia.ko failed to build!
make[1]: *** [module] Error 1
make: *** [install] Error 2
[root@localhost kernel]#
Qualche idea?!
Thanks!

Prova a cercare su google, così

Code: Select all

kernel rt with nvidia

http://forum.mandriva.com/en/viewtopic.php?t=130952

forse occorre qualche patch sui driver nvidia
