INFO about the SRPM build possibilities and rpm availability:
For ROSA Marathon we'll build Kernels LTS: 3.0, 3.2, 3.4, all the latest kernels up to the 3.11 series.
For ROSA Fresh we are building all Kernel versions starting only from the 3.6 to the most recent series
For "Cooker" we are building all Kernel versions starting only from the 3.8 to the most recent series
For old distros Mandriva 2010 and 2011, we are maintaining build compatibility: you can also rebuild,
but we CANNOT prepare the rpms for You, as we have no chance to build with ABF or in our own PCs

Kernel 3.11.6 by MIB
This is prepared like the official one used for ROSA Desktop.Fresh 2012
this version is the prepared by MIB for Mandriva and ROSA development

Since October you could find some differences and news also in this mainline serie,
the reason it that we are in full development mode for ROSA 2012.1:
from version 3.5.6 we will release two new flavours and also their 32bit pae versions
  • kernel-nrj-laptop > It's optimized for laptop PCs, with a particular attention for cpu cooling and the battery lasting
  • kernel-nrj-realtime > It's optimized to have the lowest latency and so it's better for realtime apps like jackd, ecc...

Failed to build with dkms nvidia-current 325.15-3, Rosa 2012.1 !!

Fixed with this patch: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topi ... rst-use-i/

I applied it manually to the nv-linux.h file in both places:
/usr/src/nvidia-current-325.15-3
/var/lib/dkms/nvidia-current/325.15-3/build

Need a reboot twice ??

PS
Where are the nvidia-current RPM's?

Currently, we have NOT a repo with updated proprietary video drivers, No time to manage that...
the Kernel development takes all my time, so i can't update an unofficial repo with all the drivers,
perhaps, in the future, but I can't promise anything...

Kernel 3.11 series is developed for OpenMandriva (omv2013) and Rosa developments:
- in Omv2013 the srpms should be already patched and fixed for all kernel 3.11 serie...

- in Rosa Fresh, untill now, drivers are NOT kernel 3.11 compliant:
with next R2 update, sometime in November, there would be excitant news like new X server/clients
perhaps the Ati, Nvidia and other drivers will be patched also for newer kernels 3.11 and even 3.12
