VMWare virtualization
We have noticed that Kernel 3.17 did not work with the VMWare virtualization:
we've prepared an unofficial solution that has been full tested on ROSA OSes

Nicco,
something strange is happenig with this firmware. All is continuing to work fine, at least for my needs, but at startup I am now getting several warnigs (21 in total) from vmware: Just as a sample I report below one of them:

Message from syslogd@DESKTOP-1 at Dec 2 13:40:48 ... Hostd: backtrace[18] rip 00007f5f607bcfc0 /lib64/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf0) [0x7f5f607bcfc0] Message from syslogd@DESKTOP-1 at Dec 2 13:40:48 ... Hostd: backtrace[19] rip 00000000004fe999 /usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-hostd() [0x4fe999]

I was not able to find in which log file such messages are stored, If you point me out where the log file is I can attach a copy of it, just to give you a full report.

I repeat everything looks fine except for such messages that were not present with previous releases of kernel 3.17. Any idea about the causes? Googling around I did not find anything useful. I even forced a recompilation of vmware worstation but with no change.

Thank you for your help
