Kernel 3.17.5 for ROSA 2012 2012.1 2014.1 OMV2013 2014 2015

Kernel 3.17.5 for ROSA 2012lts, rosa2012.1, omv2013.0, omv2014.0, rosa2014.1 and cooker (omv2015.0)

Kernel 3.17 arrives ASAP in its complex nrj & nrjQL flavours, for ROSA and OpenMandriva Linux OSes!

These are the very first versions of "nrj/nrjQL" stable 3.17.x, in its early development stage,
so, it's released only for Beta testing purposes, some pieces are still missing : TOI
Please, don't use this packages if you are a newbie, because maybe is still to fix all over!!!

VMWare virtualization
We have noticed that Kernel 3.17 did not work with the VMWare virtualization:
we've prepared an unofficial solution that has been full tested on ROSA OSes

Nicco,
GKH ha caldamente sconsigliato di usare il 3.17.5 ed ha rilasciato subito il 3.17.6 con un unico fix:

Quindi, a meno che tu non abbia già integrato la patch necessaria (che costituisce l'unica differenza fra i due kernel),
suggerirei di soprassedere alla pubblicazione del 3.17.5...

PS: C'è in giro VmWare WKS 11.0, che sembrerebbe compatibile (non l'ho ancora installata) con tutti kernel fino al 31.8 incluso:

Lo avevo preparato Domenica scorsa sul mio PC locale, poi non avevo trovato il tempo di inviarlo anche su ABF, adesso mi sono trovato in ufficio e avevo pensato di inviarlo adesso su ABF, e così ho fatto...

Non avevo letto circa il problema esistente sul 3.17.5 e la successiva veloce correzione sul 3.17.6, lo sto leggendo proprio adesso, oramai lascio buildare, tanto l'installazione è volontaria non obbligatoria, provvederò domani o domani l'altro al successivo aggiornamento al 3.17.6

Ho iniziato a studiare anche il Kernel 3.18, spero di prepararlo il più presto possibile (3.18.1?),
il BFQ per esso è uscito proprio oggi, certo mancano ancora tantissimi e necessari patchsets...
