Updated kernel on my machines; all works except for a little nvidia driver problem on my notebook:

Code: Select all

nvidia-current (337.25-1): Installing module.
..............(bad exit status: 7)
  Build failed. Installation skipped.
Upgrading nvidia-current driver may solve the problem?

New Kernels and/or new HW often need a new proprietary driver, it may be your case...

Just yesterday, a friend of mine had a problem with his new Geforce GTX 970 (Gigabyte):
XFdrake did not see or proposed the non-free driver, so he tried to install the nvidia driver
using script from nvidia site, at the reboot he saw the nvidia logo, then the driver works ok

http://www.nvidia.it/object/linux-displ ... ve-it.html

In all descriptions you can read, a sentence like this:
- Migliorata la compatibilità con i kernel Linux più recenti.

I can see that currently also cooker has that old nvidia driver, I'll inform them to update it

May this work for Rosa X64 too? in the past it didn't and googling I saw that the current version in Rosa (340.65) needs to be patched to work with Kernel 3.18

not possible: init 1 command causes a reboot and, whatever driver you install, in recovery console rosa detects the presence of the nouveau driver and stops the installation.
I had to patch the 343.22 driver to be able to use your 3.18.3 kernel, which, for the time being, works nicely.

Thanks, Nicco
