harddrake confused with two graphics card

Post by sameeer_45 »

hello again people

======

i have two same graphics cards called

radeon hd 4350

when i insert the two of them in their's slots on motherboard

harddrake will find the both of them but will not use their specified driver

and will use vesa driver for both of them

and if i try to make this thing happen (( i mean replace harddrake suggestion with their driver )) then harddrake will show a message says

((( there are on such package called x11-driver-video- ))) i think it mean x11-driver-video-fglrx

so i decided to remove one of them from motherboard and see what will happen

after rebooting i saw harddrake automaticly set the right driver for the remaining graphic card

===============

so what is the problem here

I can't help you there, I have never configured two ati video cards, and I've not the hardware to make a try & verify

When ROSA developers will be come back from the holidays, we will ask to them, if they have had this experience,
and maybe they have a proper answer to this issue...

bye, NicCo

about ATI crossfire configuration:
you can ask also to GvM > he's MIB guru of Xorg and video drivers, and he uses ATI

will you understand me wrong

i already know how to crossfire

but with those two cards on this biostar (((( http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/int ... p?S_ID=560 ))))
i think its impossible to do it

because there is no any kind of video ports on it

that will combined those two power

================

so .....if i am going to crossfire an ATI GC ..... both of them should have extra port for CROSSFIRE BRIDGE to connect between the both of them

====

that what i understand from webb pages about similar problem like this
