Ho provato a comprimere (con Ark) un file, e ho scelto di creare un Rar. Purtroppo mi dice che non trova il programma adatto.
Unrar è regolarmente installato (infatti decomprime i rar regolarmente), ma cosa devo installare per poter comprimere in Rar?

rar come comando esiste anche su linux,
ma ha problemi con licenza, non è free...

penso che portarlo non sarebbe difficile,
ma non credo possa essere ridistribuito


perchè non usare p7zip che abilita numerose ed efficientissime compressioni?

io, per i miei file compressi uso generalmente "7z", "xz", ecc

Grazie della spiegazione. Solo mi sembrava strano, perchè credo di ricordare che con Mandriva comprimessi regolarmente in Rar

prova questi rpm per fedora, dovrebbero andare bene, forzando l'installazione
