About favourites:
Apart recent, it's possible in the Applcations tab list, normally alphabetically ordered, to change the position of some programs:
just move and place them in the first page and positions, simple get the icons and move them, leave where you better prefer,
new positions will be soon changed and remembered,
then all other icons will follow alphabetically ordered...

I agree, these new action icons are boring and too aseptic...
before we had a touch of humour, now seems like being an hospital...
we all would like a revert to the previous animated icons!
