MIB on preview presents the mdv /restricted repositories for Mandriva 2011, and I could also add "exclusive" ...
Mandriva Forum International > http://forum.mandriva.com/en/viewtopic. ... 1&t=135733

How add official /restricted repository in Mandriva 2011 (Temporary Solution)

Some ex PLF rpms, but all in the newest versions, are now in mdv /contrib, some in mdv /non-free
all the others rpms will be placed in /restricted, but in the next few days...
MIB is hosting now, one week or two before mdv could, so users can enjoy since now a full Mandriva Desktop 2011 experience

This is and will be only a "time limited" hosting, waiting for mandriva & rosalab guys coming back from their vacations:
when they'll come back to work, they will prepare all the infrastructure to host /restricted repo and it's mirrors

Don't use PLF mirrors for 2011!
They are old, with obsoleted program versions, not good for RPM5, and contains many rpms that could serioulsly hurt Mandriva 2011.0

altro Forum italiano > http://www.it-mandriva.org/mib-anteprim ... -t601.html

HOW TO CONFIGURE: /restricted for Mandriva Desktop 2011
All /restricted /rpms files, ex PLF, are here:
2011.0 32bit > http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011.0/ ... estricted/ or from http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011 ... estricted/
2011.0 64bit > http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011.0/ ... estricted/ or from http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011 ... estricted/

Mandriva 2011.0 - 32bit

Code: Select all

urpmi.addmedia --update MDV-restricted_32 http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011.0/32/projects/restricted/
urpmi --auto-update

Mandriva 2011.0 - 64bit

Code: Select all

urpmi.addmedia --update MDV-restricted_64 http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011.0/64/projects/restricted/

Many ex PLF programs have been already moved in other mandriva repositories:
some are now in /contrib, others are in /non-free,
while all the remaining rpms will be moved in a new repository folder called /restricted

these are the most of rpms you would find in mdv /restricted within a few days/weeks

what do you mean plf is old and obsoleted?

I got a plf mail that states:
For your information, the 2011 release tree has now been forked.
As usual, the media can be configured by running
urpmi.addmedia --distrib --mirrorlist \
'http://plf.zarb.org/mirrors/$RELEASE.$ARCH.list'

I just wanted to install the plf updates but after reading this topic II will wait till Mandriva delivers the restricted repo's.

And where is skype?

PLF now has forked for Mageia users, while the new maintainer for mdv PLF rpms is Andrej Bondrov aka Pulfer, he was asked by RosaLab to update all PLF
So we have already all /restricted made for mdv users, and we thought to publish now to enjoy in 2011 before Mandriva will prepare its own /restricted repositories
the files will be the same are hosted by MIB now (here, for a temporary limited hosting)

today we have just released (a look inside http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2011.0/64/basic)
- filezilla 3.5.1
- firefox 6.0.1 (completed with all languages)
- thunderbird 6.0.1 (completed with all languages)
- playonlinux 4.0.9
- pidgin 2.10.0
- kde-extract_rpm-servicemenu
- and more others (about 200 rpms)...

for Skype, I'm using the version in 2010.2 repo
but it will be rebuilt for 2011 for tomorrow, I think

I see, but the x48 roms did not move to contrib: I installed x48, but to use it I've been forced do use the rom rpms in plf 2010,2, as the program can't run without at least one of them.

It also will be done very soon. Most likely today or tomorrow.

Disistimando CinelerraCV 2.1.5 e installando Cinelerra 4.2 - MIB, tutto funziona regolarmente.

For me both audio and video work. Maybe it depends on file format? :?

Anyway, Cinelerra 4.3 is planned to be packaged for MIB 2011. And most likely I'll rename plf/restricted package from cinelerra to cinelerra-cv.
