OpenMandriva Alpha bug hunting

OpenMandriva Lx is ready for Bug Hunting.

There is still a lot of work to do, some already identified bugs to fix and artwork to implement.
You can get the Alpha (i586 or x86_64) at http://downloads.openmandriva.org/iso and just give it a test drive.

Let us know if you find any bugs and help us get rid of them. You can communicate with the QA Team and log bugs over at http://issues.openmandriva.org.

We expect to have a Beta release ready for you by 30th of July; so, let’s begin the hunt.

Here, there are links to download Virtualbox images of OM Lx alpha!
This is content of reame file:

These compressed images can be imported in VirtualBox.
These are done with the main workarounds, and therefore are usable.

However they are provided for testing and there is a lot of remaining issues to hunt

You can use the following user/password:

user/user
root/root


The default keyboard layout is English-US
Before importing, you can mainly change the landing directory setting.
After importing you can get rid off an eventual error message about a missing file and modify the RAM, DVD, etc. settings.


The vbox guest additions are installed.

The fact that a file is there, that doesn't mean it's ready or even is the righ one!
If not damaging, since we're speaking here of virtual machines, download could be at least useless.

Update: 24/06/2013 - New x86_64 ISO

Hi,
here's a current x86_64 snapshot iso:
http://lindev.ch/OpenMandriva.alpha.20130624.x86_64.iso

This fixes many bugs found with the previous snapshot, especially installation works without workarounds now.
There is no i586 iso yet; we'll put up a new alpha for both architectures when some more bugs have been fixed.

Any idea how to make it boot with USB? dd command does not seem to work

Mi scuso ma sto facendo un po di confusione tra Mandriva e Openmandriva,in sostanza tra i due forum.Però avrete pazienza e mi spiegherete.Ho installato sul HD la openmandriva 32b ultima nata che ho trovato nell'indice dei mirrors che tu,Rugyada.mi hai dato;esattamente è quella pubblicata il 27 giugno e che è andata liscia come l'olio e sto scrivendo da quella.Sono partito per l'aggiornamento da easyurpmi,dopo di che ho installato repository prendendoli sempre dal MIB ma quando arrivo all'aggiornamento con urpmi -auto-update ottengo quello che volgarmente si definisce un casino.Sto cercando la mirrorlist di openmandriva ma non riesco a trovarla.Urge un aiuto che spero mi darete chiarendomi le idee.Grazie.
