Well, I'm spanish and I don't understand right all your message.
I suppose you have your reasons to use Matlab versus Octave with Qtoctave.
Do you use Matlab with Linux version?
About Scilab i will test it, but Scilab is very easy to install it from official webpage.
Init Scilab from a terminal, and copy & paste here the error message when scilab crash.

Bye.

P.D. Please write me in English if it is possible ;-)

Scilab doesn't crash, but it can't plot anything. the error message is this:
-->plot(t, s)
Si consiglia di aggiornare i driver."
!--error 4
Undefined variable: mostra

while executing a callback

at line 2 of function %c_i_h called by :
at line 5 of function ResetFigureDDM called by :
at line 436 of function plot called by :
plot(t, s)

I have used Matlab on Linux for years and I have never had a problem.

The problem is not nvidia, the problem is scilab pacakage from mandriva repo or java plot packages from mdv. While i've packed the new version you can use the new version.
Download the new version from http://www.scilab.org/products/scilab/d ... 3.0-beta-1

32 bits -> http://www.scilab.org/download/5.3.0-be ... 686.tar.gz

64 bits -> http://www.scilab.org/download/5.3.0-be ... _64.tar.gz

To use it:

Uncompress it in your home, for instance.
There is a /bin folder in the uncompressed new scilab folder. You'll see a file called scilab, execute it with left double click of your mouse. That's all.

I've tested it and it works fine.

Bye
You can make a launcher.

Sorry, but I don't give support to none free software. I said yet before that exists Octave with Qtoctave as a free alternative to Matlab. I'm a mathematic and I use Octave, I never use Matlab.
