thunderbird 12.0.1 crash when replying to a message

After installing the latest thunderbird 12.0.1 from MIB, I'm consistently hitting a crash every time I click on "reply" button on the main toolbar:
the editing window appears (with the cursors not blinking) and after a few seconds thunderbird crashes (and abrt is launched) e closes itself...
In .xsession-errors or in konsole this waning appears right before the crash:
"/usr/lib64/python2.6/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gobject/__init__.py:114: Warning: Object class CellTextView doesn't implement property 'editing-canceled' from interface 'GtkCellEditable' type_register(cls, namespace.get('__gtype_name__'))"
Reverting to 12.0.0 fixes the crash: the editing window shows with a blinking cursor, all works and the above message does not show...
