[RISOLTO] Problema Dosemu su OpenMandriva
Graphic: intel 82865G - Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1700MHz (15/0/10)
OpenMandriva 2014.0 phosphorus
3.18.16-nrjQL-desktop-2omv

Usando Dosemu si presenta questo problema:
Using CPU emulation because vm.mmap_min_addr > 0.
For more information, see dosemu/boot.log
e nel terminale una sfilza interminabile di
==============================================================
CPU exception 0x00 err=0x00000000 cr2=0010ff55 eip=b5681bc3

CPU exception 0x00 err=0x00000000 cr2=0010f08a eip=b5676c74
==============================================================

Grazie

Re: Problema Dosemu su OpenMandriva
Lo stesso da me, "dosemu" non funziona
Ho installato "dosbox" e quello funziona

I'm sorry I cannot reply in Italian,. I can confirm that an issue does exist but I cannot reproduce the same fault at yours. I suspect that you are trying to run dosemu on a 64bit machine. This thread contains more information http://marc.info/?l=linux-msdos&m=143092980630000&w=2
If you need dosemu for an application it should work on a 32bit machine or in a 32bit VM
There may be a patch available to fix this soon I'm investigating.

What an honor, to have here and now the President of OpenMandriva!
For those who still do not know, Colin Close (aka itchka) was elected recently as a function of President of OpenMandriva Association
I too installed the Dosemu on a 64bit system and I have verified the same error occurred at startup,
I have not a 32bit OS, neither a 32bit VM, where I could verify the issue

ENGLISH
I have searched the same 3 rpm files for ROSA R5, here the list
http://abf-downloads.rosalinux.ru/rosa2 ... x86_64.rpm
http://abf-downloads.rosalinux.ru/rosa2 ... x86_64.rpm
http://abf-downloads.rosalinux.ru/rosa2 ... x86_64.rpm
I focused the two files: 1)dosemu and 2)dosemu-freedos
The OpenMandriva and ROSA distros have the same version and release for "dosemu", but only the ROSA "dosemu" is working,
I wanted to try the ROSA rpms into OMV, and I verified that it's possible to install all the two, now "doeemu" works also on OMV
I discovered than if we install from ROSA the dosemu-freedos rpm only, it install and runs OK on Lx2014.2 x86_64:
there is something broken in the dosemu-freedos package stored on Lx2014.2 contrib repos, perhas is corrupted
WORKAROUND
You can execute from a root konsole, the below two commands, just to force a remove and replace the borked rpm
POST EDIT
I have reported the issue to the cooker IRC channel: kindly TPG has immediately tried a new rebuild for the borked packages,
below a part of our discussion:
[13:02] <_TPG> dosemu has been rebuild for 2014.x
[13:12] <_TPG> first unistall it
[13:13] <_TPG> then download and install these rpms https://abf.io/build_lists/2518741
[13:24] <nicco_> I have downloaded the two files into the new /home folder /de, then I've installed from there

ho testato i nuovi pacchetti release -1.2 e funzionano, arriveranno presto sui mirror
ENGLISH
DOSEMU has been fixed by Crispin Boylan (crisb), he has sent me the following msg (cooker irc)
Here the commit containing the fix by crisb
https://abf.io/openmandriva/dosemu/comm ... a16122e758
Here are the fixed rpms if they are not yet in /contrib/updates
https://abf.io/build_lists/2519084
You can download the two files manually and then install those
Attention: (this is valid only if you have already tried my WORKAROUND from my above msg)
The release number for the fixed rpms is -1.2, the files installed with the workaround were rel -2,
so it's needed to remove the release -2 (the rosa rpms) before you can install properly omv -1.2

Ve benissimo grazie
OK Thanks @itchka
