DrakLive: with this working version you can build your iso!

MIB has fixed several errors that didn't permit anymore DrakLive to finalize an ISO project: This is a clean version similar to that we used to prepare our isos, it changes that it's slight different because it uses only mdv repository, not plf & mib.

The ISO will be made compatible with MIB LiveToFlash, so you can take them on the USB Flash, even with a persistent root and home partition, and a final partition for data exchange.

For instructions, you can follow the web resources available for the official Mandriva DrakLive (Wiki, Forum)

Re: DrakLive: with this working version you can build your i

Hello!.
Until now I was creating live dvd with draklive (svn) without problems. This I have done so with the kernel mib 2.6.36, successfully.
Now, with draklive from svn, or this version in rpm, and distribution to create, with a 2.6.38.6 kernel, I get this error:

missing mandatory modules:
squashfs_lzma

I've already tried everything. Mandriva official squashfs, squashfs_lzma with dkms, compile by hand (as the non-dkms packages with these modules, go to the last stable kernel mandriva 2010.2, 2.6.36, I think, and 2.6.33 in 2010.1.)
So I tried from modules in draklive, delete squashfs_lzma, leaving only "squashfs", and it works! iso "ends", but will not start (well..yes, "boot", but crash after init). A problem with the kernel 2.6.38.6?, I've read something that lzma is outdated in that kernel.

I forgot!
kernel in constructor: 2.6.36 (mib) and / or 2.6.33 (2010.1)
Target system's kernel 2.6.38.6

I didn't know the problem with 2.6.38.6, I can't do anything,
you made already all possible test, so I can try to port 2.6.38.7 ASAP seeing if the problem is 2.6.38.6 outdated squash

bye

Maintaining the latest kernel 2.6.38.6 from mib, I think I already did every test possible, to edit "modules"and remove squashfs_lzma (with what should be compressed in gz, right?).
By the way, lzma with dkms, it fails to compile, just as failing in some previous kernels with dkms fglrx, so I have not managed to have squashfs_lzma for 2.6.38.6.
For the system I use to build .... I've used 2.6.36.4 and 2.6.36-2.6.33 from mandriva 2010.1 & 2010.2, with dkms, without dkms (squashfs modules, squashfs_lzma, etc. .., who come specifically for the stable kernel 2010.1 distribution and 2010.2), and still does not work. Most of the changes I made them in the builder system, not in the target system, by failing to compile in one module that much I could do more to remove the module draklive, which --boot --loop --master successfully complete, but not completely start the live system.

Regards :)
