Mozilla Firefox 5.0 in /testing, please we need feedback

Volevo testare FF5, ma ho qualche problema:
Prima ho dato
# urpme firefox e lo ha disinstallato, poi ho dato (vedi istruzioni di NicCo)
# urpmi.addmedia FF5 --update http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2010 ... refox-5.0/
# urpmi --auto-select
e ha aggiornato tutto il sistema, ma non ho visto installare FF5
allora ho dato
# urpmi firefox
e mi ha risposto:
Uno dei pacchetti richiesti non può essere installato:
google-chrome-unstable-13.0.767.1.r85531-1mib2010.2.i686 (perché non è soddisfatto libjpeg62)
Continuo comunque l'Installazione? (S/n)
ho detto S e ha installato FF5, ma
lanciando $ firefox mi dice: (process:20113): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion `sys_page_size == 0' failed
e mi si lancia FF4 4.0.1 in italiano.
Praticamente la versione installata precedentemente e rimossa che però funziona perfettamente.
Dove ho sbagliato?

Ho risolto da solo: bastava lanciare FF dal menu stella e non dalla konsole
Poi ho anche installato la versione italiana: tutto bene anzi benone
Ora lo testerò più a lungo ma pare vada tutto bene.

Please, change the "StartupNotify=false" in firefox.desktop

Maybe startup notification will be fixed in 5.0.1. We should check it first before firefox.desktop modification, I guess.

pesonalmente ho avuto un probblemino con l'hardisk e fuso, montato un altro di recupero reinstallata Mandriva 2010.2 repo ufficiali +mib +plf sono passato per i vari 4.0 e ho installato il 5.0 sembrerebbe senza nessuna nota dolente...........
Testero piu a fondo il tutto..............

Firefox5.0(mib) more faster, smoothly and less laggy than Firefox5.0.1(mib)
I'm revert installation to http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2010.2/ ... refox-5.0/

firefox 5 xulrunner 5

I installed firefox 5.0.1 mib + xulrunner-2.0.1-69.2mib2010.2.i686.rpm + libxulrunner2.0.1-2.0.1-69.2mib2010.2.i686.rpm
firefox was very slow and sometimes not opened some websites
I installed xulrunner-5.0-69.1mib2010.2.i686.rpm + libxulrunner5.0-5.0-69.1mib2010.2.i686.rpm and works perfectly

I think you can have the same problem

you can find xulrunner 5.0 files here:

http://mib.pianetalinux.org/MIB/2010.2/64/

xulrunner related files are in internal testing, so are not inside /basic repo

Clean install:

Restart(no need

). No changes. The "problem" is not solved. Still FF5.0 > FF5.0.1(+all older ff'es)
Reverted to FF5.0(magic package) again + xul5 for now.

p.s. before i used ff5.0+xul2 with no problems too

NOTE: I can't see difference between ff5 and ff501 on newer computers(my comp like: p4-2000/~3000/)

Vorrei segnalare un problemino che, per la verità, è presente dalla versione 4.
Io condivido il profilo con una partizione windows. In queste condizioni le extensions funzionano, ma non i plug-ins, questo in linux, mentre in windows funzionano entrambi.
Se tento da linux di unstallare un plug in, riesco qad arrivare alla fase di installzione, ma poi il processo si blocca, facendomi vedere la barra di avanzamento dell' installazione senza andare oltre. Per il resto firefox continua a funzionare correttamente.

Qualcuno ha avuto una esperienza simile?

Result is: firefox-5.0-0.1mdv2010.2.i586.rpm (don't want upload thats only for my fun)

per firefox 5.01 ho dovuto disinstallare gnash non mi faceva vedere i video su youtube esempio senza sembra vada però i video sono un pò rallentati..
