Post by NicCo »

Hi all. I prepared RC version of LXDE spin R1 and need you help for test it!

System requirements:
May be "up" on 256 Mb, but i don't know how ISO will put in RAM... Really from 384 Mb recommended...
POST EDIT (2013 June 13 > 19:55:00 a.m.) >>> wrote: These links contain the most updated LXDE ISOs > Fixed lxde-control-center (I hope these are latest :) )

Changelog:
  • Fix the freezy in start, add filezilla, colorprompt, grsync (requests by NicCo)
  • All user login/logout/switch errors related to lightdm. It has a some problem on systemd releated distro:
You may simple install gdm or kdm and switch to it via "drakedm"
  • Removing dpi detect part
  • Some little fixes
    now
  • Bigger size of menu icons

Tried (i586) on a acer e-machines with 1 gb ram... 5 minutes to load in live mode(!) and no wireless...
On the same pc is running a mandriva 2010.2 LXDE powered by MUD and all works perfectly...
On board chip is Atheros AR 9285

The remaining features seem work well

Bye

Do this work as expected "out of the box" for ROSA Fresh KDE R1?

Right now, I have forwarded your feedback to Alexander Kazancev...

I tried 32 bit distro
I don't know if the atheros driver works well with Rosa kde, I never tried it, I don't want kill my netbook! ;-)
Surely works out of the box with the old mandriva...

OK, downloaded the last one (i think...) and it works better... faster to load in live mode and more reactive, but no wifi... if I install it, are there a way to have a wifi connection (i can use a ethernet connection for updates)? Bye
