PlayOnLinux 3.2.2 available for Mandriva Linux 2009.0 and 2008.1
Emulatore per l’installazione di giochi Windows su Linux che sfrutta il motore di wine e script di installazione per vari giochi best-seller e che permette anche l’aggiornamento e l’ampliamento dei titoli attraverso internet.

Here are the main changes:
- Removal of the IRC client (as agreed)
- Only the second part remains in the Tool menu
- All configuration tools are grouped in one program : “Configure this application” so that the user doesn’t get confused. This new configurator contains: “Wine configuration”, “Registry”, “Advanced Wine Configuration” (if the plugin is installed), “Updating Wine Prefix”, “simulate a windows reboot”, “specific Configuration”.
- Specific Configuration allows you to specifically configure each application (if the script allows it).
- A bug has been fixed on the Set_GLSL function (for sciptors).
- The new function POL_SetupWindow_normalprefixcreate (replaces POL_SetupWindow_prefixcreate ONLY if the latter doesn’t work with this application)
- An Easter Egg

L’idea del porting di questo titolo ci è venuta leggendo la rivista Linux Magazine di gennaio 2009, dove a pag 64 (col. a sinistra), l’autore testa il programma su Mandriva 2009.0, e cita anche il MIB.
Dal momento che ci siamo accorti che la versione disponibile era vecchiotta, abbiamo trovato interessante la cosa, e abbiamo voluto ri-fornirvi 
dell’ultima uscita.

sai se c’è una lista specifica di giochi che possono essere usati con questo emulatore o bisogna fare affidamento al database wine? che vantaggi ci sono rispetto a wine?
Installing & running Warcraft 1 through DosboxSupport_0.2.pol plugin works fine. Haven’t tried anything else yet.

sul sito ci sono parecchi annunci/commenti in merito a diversi giochi.
ho cercato ma non ho trovato una lista riassuntiva. altro non ti saprei dire, mi spiace.
forse NicCo ha info più dettagliate…
cmq da quello che ho potuto capire dovrebbe essere sufficiente collegarsi in rete e il programma ti dovrebbe dare la scelta dei giochi che è possibile installare, ti chiede di inserire il cd e si avvia.
