nvidia 304.37

Post by promeneur »

the new 304.37 solves the blue tint pb.

blue tint pb :

with flash 11.2.x some video (youtube ones for example) are covered with blue tint)
the only solution is to disable the hardware acceleration for flash.

with the new 304.37 this pb seems solved

thanks

for MDV2011, RM 2012 and ROSA 2012.1

Nvidia-current 304.37 are available here:
http://abf.rosalinux.ru/downloads/kerne ... epository/

for MDV2010 we must wait some time (days) for a clean rebuild

bye, NicCo

Tried to install, but they don't. on a system similar to mine but with a quadro 6000 card.
At installation the error message is that x11-driver-video-nvidia-current-304.37 can't install 'cause it is missing libnvidia-glcore.so.304.37, that is one of the files contained in that file.
If I force the installation via urpmi --allow-force, then x-org fails to boot and dmesg tells that version 295.71 of libnvidia-glcore is registered in the kernel, but version 304.37 was found in the system.

i installed 304.37 for mandriva 2010.2 i586 => no more blue tint with flash

drakrpm : no pb

compilation : some time dkms compilation work, some time not but at the end succes

loading driver : needing to start 2 times pc

perhaps some dirty things accumulated with the numerous kernel installation

at the end all works for my several kernels

i note something surprising : drax11 keeps installed nvidia-current-kernel-2.6.33.7-desktop-2mnb 195.36.24

perhaps for my kernel 2.6.33.7 ?

but

for rm 2012 lts ee rp1 x86_64 i fail to install 304.37

when i ask an update then drakrpm wants to install a mix of 295.71 and 304.37 !

if i try to install 295.71 then same phenomenon

i think the dependencies are wrongs in the packets dkms-nvidia-current or others
